KAM is pleased to present the work of renowned artist Niki de Saint Phalle (1930-2002), who iused her playful, colorful imagery to address the AIDS epidemic for You Can't Catch It Holding Hands, a short animated film produced by her son, Philip Mathews.  The physical exhibition of this show, which opened at KAM on March 11, was only up for two days before the current epidemic closed Kingsborough and most of the world.  This virtual version, which presents all the drawings, animation cels, and ephemera from the show, allows a glimpse at that short-lived and seemingly prescient exhibition.

In this COVID-19 edition of the beloved annual Kingsborough tradition, students in Animation, Art History, Fine Arts, and Graphic Design present their artistic creations--remarkably made through distance learning, without the benefit of studios or in-person lectures and demonstrations.  Nevertheless, our students met the challenge with courage, perseverance, and Kingsborough spirit.
